JOHN BARGIS

CEO & President

John Bargis is currently CEO and founder of CIMBC. Under his leadership, CIMBC membership has grown substantially, giving its broker member partners the opportunity to be rewarded with increased margins, extended direct lender access and unique product options.

John is also the Principal of Mortgage Edge and a veteran who is extremely passionate about the mortgage broker space with over 30-years of experience. He was a key founding partner of Invis Inc, served as the Chair of Mortgage Professionals Canada (MPC), was a Board member of CMBA as Chair of Government Relations, and more recently served on the Advisory Board of the newly formed Ontario regulator FSRA.

BOB SINCLAIR

CFO & COO

As CFO & COO, Bob has been instrumental in the exponential growth of CIMBC since joining in 2018. He is focused on CIMBC’s long-term strategic goals of sustainability, productivity and growth. Bob is a retired BMO Executive Head of Specialized Sales Canada, where he carried responsibility for the Mortgage and Loan business and the setup and growth of BMO’s Mortgage Broker arm. Bob holds a Master of Business Administration Financial Services through Dalhousie University, graduate of The Fellowship of the Canadian Institute of Canadian Bankers and Rotmans Executive Leadership program.

TINA BARGIS

Treasurer and Secretary

Tina Bargis has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. She started her career with TD Bank where she last managed a team of lenders at the flagship King and Bay location as Assistant Manager Personal Banking.

As a well-respected woman in the mortgage industry, Tina is a dedicated and detailed oriented professional whose qualities have significantly contributed to CIMBC’s successes. She currently serves as CIMBC's Treasurer and Secretary and is the President of Mortgage Edge.

LUCY MELINO

National Account Manager

Lucy Melino has been in the mortgage industry for over 18 years. She has worked for a major Canadian bank for 10 years, including 5 years as a Mobile Mortgage Specialist.

Since 2004, Lucy was a managing partner of a mortgage brokerage company. She continues to be a licensed mortgage broker. With many years of experience in financial services and strong relationships with a wide variety of lenders, Lucy has complete knowledge of the mortgage broker industry. This wealth of knowledge and experience, along with her integrity and professionalism is what has made her successful.

Lucy is excited to join CIMBC as our National Account Manager and we are happy to have her as part of our team.

ANDREW BARGIS

Broker of Record

Andrew has been a Mortgage Broker for over 9 years, while working behind more than 30 years of experience in the Mortgage & Financing industry. He started as an Underwriting Assistant at Mortgage Edge and subsequently graduated to a Senior Underwriter position. This gave him the experience and knowledge that is necessary to understand how an effective and efficient mortgage brokerage operates.

TERRY BARGIS

Underwriting Manager

As an underwriting manager with nearly a decade of experience in the mortgage world, Terry has extensive knowledge and experience in both Prime and Sub-Prime mortgage underwriting. He’s passionate about finding the perfectly tailored solution for each clients unique circumstances.

With a proven track record of exceeding expectations and a focus on efficiency, his credit analysis and risk assessment skills are vital part of the CIMBC Team.

VASILIKI BELEGRINIS

Marketing and Social Media

Vasiliki is a serial founder, international investments team lead, and finfluencer (finance content creator). She's passionate about supporting first-time founders to build impactful businesses and first-gens to bridge the wealth cap through entrepreneurship and social media. Through her work, she's been able to fund over $15mm USD to entrepreneurs across North America, Europe and Australia. Simultaneously, she has created a combined community of over +70k followers on the importance of financial literacy, real estate, and investing. She has collaborated with leading brands such as Wealthsimple, Simplii Financial, CIBC, Cryptonary, Planswell, CloudTax; and has been featured in leading news outlets like the Global News.

She brings her extensive marketing expertise and creative eye to share the 'Unity Empowers' message of the CIMBC team.
